Travelled to Hoi An, a sweet little village in central VN. It is another Unesco world heritage site and it is a really idyllic village of tailor shops and restaurants, you can have anything custom made here for a very fair price.
One of our first excursions was to the "wet" market, where stalls of fish, meat and vegetables were being perused by the locals. We saw many things hauled up from the river to be placed on the tables to be chopped, weighed, clipped and sold.
The place had great energy with tiny little enclaves of people talking, eating, drinking coffee and smoking. A lot of the older women smoke little cigars that they hold between their teeth, I liked their style.
