I took a mini trip to Pai, 4 hours north of Chang Mai. It is set in a valley surrounded by mountains and (my favorite) hot springs. I rented a motorbike and traveled the island with Cliff, a man staying at the same bungalow guesthouse as me. I even got a "Thai Tattoo" which is a leg burn caused by backing into a hot motorbike tailpipe. Motorbikes are everywhere here and rented out by the westerners. I saw so many bandaged legs in Laos that I finally asked a girl about them who clued me in to the Thai Tattoo.
There were 2 extremely hot springs at the park, one which you could boil eggs in and one that was reccommended you do not.
News alert- I bought my first bikini, the last time I wore one was when I was around 7.
On the way to the springs we passed an elephant on it's way back to the elephant camp where they let us pet and play with them. They put a banana in my hand and told me to hide it behind my back, I got an elephant hug.
